Kilauea Lodge is located in peaceful, secluded Volcano Village only a mile from the entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Owners Lorna and Albert Jeyte take special pride and care of their country inn. A former YMCA camp, today Kilauea Lodge offers spacious rooms with private baths and central heating systems. All are beautifully appointed with Hawaiian country furnishings, Hawaiian art and other inviting items providing personal comfort. Six of the rooms have private fireplaces. Guests may gather around a lovely common room with fireplace enjoying a large selection of Hawaiian books and games. A full breakfast is included in the room charge.

The restaurant provides excellent continental cuisine. European trained owner-chef Albert offers a tantalizing variety of dishes. Seafood Mauna Kea - a blend of pasta, herbs, and seafood or the Lamb Provencal with papaya-apple-mint sauce are a few of the house specials. Home made soups and desserts as well as some intriguing locally made wines augment the already excellent wine list.

Kilauea Lodge is perfectly located as a home base for exploring the island of Hawaii. The Volcano area provides miles and miles of hiking trails, an active volcano, and the splendor of Pele herself. For further recreation there is a golf course and local winery. The Big Island topography includes misty rain forests to sunny beaches, also quaint villages, macadamia nut groves, and flower farms to the old plantation town of Hilo where one finds the unexpected splendor of Rainbow Falls or turn-of-the-century storefronts.
